IDI Hotel was founded in 1986 by Dimitris Giasafakis – named after the highest mountain of Crete – and since then constitutes one of the standard relaxation destinations in Agia Galini.  Nice atmosphere, elegance, comfort, discretion are just some of the features that distinguish the hotel.

Each room has its own identity. This means that the colors, the substrates, the decorative elements etc, have been chosen on the basis of different artistic inspiration in each.

As a family-run hotel, managed by Asimina and Dimitris Giasafakis, IDI hotel rewards its guests for their choice with its unique hospitality, comfort and aesthetics of its rooms and its flexible services, so it has so far many friends around the world who prefer it for their holidays each year.

We want to assure you that our priority is the health and safety of our guests and team. We are following hygiene guidelines set by the Ministry of Tourism and the Hotel Chamber of Greece such as operational procedures and protocols. These procedures and protocols are adapted in order to ensure the correct application of all health and safety measures against Covid-19.

Superb 😀 - Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich, sind unseren Wünschen nachgekommen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl dort gefühlt. Der Ausblick aufs Meer von unserem Balkon aus war unser Highlight. Auch die Nähe zum Strand und zur Stadt waren perfekt. Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich und üppig. Auf spezielle Wünsche wurde sofort eingegangen. Wir kommen gerne wieder! 😞 - Das Bad hat leider oft einen unangenehmen Geruch gehabt, obwohl jeden Tag geputzt wurde. - 9/04/2023

Excellent value for money We spent 3 nights at Hotel Idi and gladly came back for an entire week after leaving for 1 night on the northern coast. It's a GREAT bargain. The rooms are basic but very clean and well furnished (a/c, fridge, free wi-fi) with a wonderful balcony, and lady Jasmine is the best hotel owner I ever met: she will make you feel at home, and her handmade pies for breakfast are excellent. Restaurants and beach are respectively at a 5 and 10 minutes walk... perfect!!! - 7/20/2012

Essendo una zona piena di hotel, trovare il parcheggio non è facile. Il parcheggio del porto è comunque a 5 minuti a piedi. - 9/24/2018

Nettes Hotel auch für mehrere Tage Das kleine, familiengeführte Hotel liegt nicht weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt an einer Anhöhe. Daher hat man - zumindest aus der 2. Etage - vom Balkon aus einen (durch andere Gebäude leicht eingeschränkten) schönen Blick auf das Meer. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig, es fehlte nichts. Die Eigentümerin kümmert sich persönlich um alles, dies trägt sicher zur persönlichen Atmosphäre bei. Das Frühstück wird im Garten serviert, täglich gibt es neue, leckere Überraschungen. Wir werde, sollten wir erneut nach Agia Galina reisen, sicher wieder dort buchen. - 5/21/2019

Hotel Idi - auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen! Asemina u. Dimitris, zwei sehr freundliche, herzliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber, die ihre Frühstückspesion ganz alleine und mit viel Liebe zum Detail führen. Zum Frühstück auf der wunderschönen Terrasse gabs jeden Tag eine andere Überraschung - alles selbst gemacht und sehr lecker. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Fantastisch Mevrouw maakt van ieder ontbijt een feestje. Ze kwam elke ochtend met iets anders en genoot zichtbaar van de complimenten hierover. Hele goede bedden! Erg schoon. We gaan er zeker nog eens heen.
Niets aan te merken. Tja er is geen lift maar geheel Agia Galini bestaat uit trappen dus is het voor een minder valide sowieso geen handige locatie. - 8/07/2018

A good welcome followed up by a happy stay. The hotel is conveniently sited, old and extended village easily accessible, parking not difficult, biggish breakfast - kitchen not seen but cooked O.K. for unusually generous breakfast, nice room with balcony that got afternoon shade, decent plumbing not needing lavatory paper to be deposited in a bin. It does only breakfast, but there is a choice of tavernas within easy striking distance during the season.
