A feel like home experience Best is the breakfast that asimina makes every day, the view to the sea and the cleanliness of the rooms.
In case you cant go up the stairs you have to ask for a room in the first floor. In our case we didnt mind, because the higher you go, the better the view 🙂 They also offered to help us carry up the luggage which was very kind. - 9/01/2020

Een geweldige plaats om comfortabel te verblijven Het ontbijt was goed en gevarieerd. In tegenstelling tot veel Griekse ontbijten was het zeer goed. De eigenaresse en de eigenaar waren behulpzaam en zeer vriendelijk. Wij hadden een gevoel van thuiskomen in den vreemde. We voelden ons welkom. De faciliteiten waren meer dan voldoende.

Lovely owners, great value, amazing breakfast My wife and I stayed here for two nights. We were on the 3rd floor with a village view. Upon arrival the owner's son took up our luggage for us, which was nice. The room was very clean, the bathroom was good sized and functional with a countertop (not just a pedestal sink). Water pressure and temperature were also very good. There are blackout shutters to the balcony. These totally blocked out the light, keeping the room cool and dark enough for an afternoon nap. A small TV and fridge were also present.

There is a small shared kitchen available to prepare simple meals or grab a plate/utensils for in-room snacks.

There is no lift, so you have to take the stairs. The rooms are one, two or three flights up from ground level.

Now to the really good part: breakfast!

Each evening when we walked through the lobby, the smells coming from the kitchen would have drawn the gods down from Mt. Olympus. When I asked what it was the owner would say with a sheepish grin "It's for breakfast tomorrow, it's a surprise".

Breakfast was served at tables for two outside on the front patio and garden, which is beautiful and well kept. (larger tables are available inside)

We were told with justifiable pride that most of the vegetables come from their own gardens, that a sweet and savory is served each day, and that there are 10 different meals. Upon hearing this, I wished we were staying for 10 days, not just two!

Excellent bread, a fruit plate, vegetable pies, coffee, juice. All of it was delicious and carried us through to the early afternoon.

Hotel Idi is a great value in a great location. It is the lowest street down to the 'port' area. There are a few parking spaces out front. I would not hesitate to stay here again. - 6/19/2018

Great hotel Hotel owners are extremely helpful and friendly, breakfast not always to our taste but variety of savouries and sweet items each morning and plenty of it.
Good walk up the hill, but then so is most accommodation in Agia Galini !!
Spotlessly clean, with clean sheets and towels daily - excellent service.
My only criticism is that the storage for clothes a bit limited.

Fabulous Eine sehr gepflegte, saubere und von der Besitzerfamilie liebevoll geführte Unterkunft. Auch wir waren vom Frühstück begeistert: frischer Orangensaft, jeden Tag süßes und salziges Selbstgebackenes. Wir können das kleine Hotel empfehlen!

Best hotel in Crete Hotel Idi is such a wonderful place to holiday and a fantastic base for the south coast. The hotel is immaculate with amazing gardens and a sense of calm. The staff are all super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are really comfortable and immaculate. They’re cleaned every day. The breakfast is plentiful with every option you can think of. The restaurant is also really impressive- a lot of variety. We’ve never had a bad meal (this is our third year) you get the opportunity to meet with tourists from many other countries. I really can’t recommend Idi enough. It’s great for a few weeks or a few days. We come with our 9 year old son who loves the pool and the freedom. If you’re looking for somewhere with beautiful scenery and away from the crowds, with a very chilled atmosphere - you will not be disappointed. It’s a real hidden gem! More - 8/25/2019 

Ανακαινισμενα δωματια, ωραιο πρωινο, φιλοξενια Το δωματιο που μειναμε ηταν πολυ καλογουστα ανακαινισμενο! Ολο το δωματιο καθως και τα μπανια του ηταν πολυ καθαρα. Το πρωινο ηταν πολυ ωραιο και η ιδιοκτητρια φροντιζει καθημερινα να υπαρχουν διαφορετικες σπιτικες λιχουδιες!! Τελευταιο και πολυ σημαντικο ειναι οτι οι ιδιοκτητες ειναι πολυ φιλοξενοι και χαμογελαστοι! - 7/30/2015 

Sauber, gutes Frühstück und nette Gastgeberin! 😀 - Die Gastgeberin war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer war von der Größe ausreichend und sauber. Sicherlich könnten die Fließen und das Bett erneuert werden, aber es war in Ordnung. Von dem Verkehr hat man Nachts nicht viel mitbekommen, aber wir hatten auch die Klimaanlage an. Der größte Pluspunkt ist auf jeden Fall das oft erwähnte Frühstück. Es gab jeden Tag ein anderes und wurde zu den Tischen auf der Terrasse gebracht. Das Essen und Trinken war frisch und lecker! 😞 - Das Bett war für unseren Geschmack leider wirklich hart und bei den nicht ausreichenden Parkplätzen vor dem Haus muss man bei einem niedrigen Auto wirklich aufpassen, dass man sich nicht den Boden verkratzt. Wir haben lieber auf dem Parkplatz von der Nachbarimmobilie geparkt. - 10/13/2023 

Petit hôtel intime très bien situé et au calme La proximité de la ville et de la plage à pied, mais très au calme malgré tout . Joli jardin pour un petit déjeuner excellent et varié avec des produits frais faits maison . La gentillesse et la disponibilité des propriétaires. Très belle vue sur la mer de notre chambre .
