Modern, friendly boutique hotel with a lovely garden We have stayed at Hotel Idi many times over the years. Our last stay was May 2014 in one of the newly refurbished rooms. It was amazing, so modern and everything one needs for a comfortable stay in Agia Galini. The terrace for breakfast is beautiful and peaceful over looking the oasis of a small garden. Asimina (the owner) is lovely, very helpful, friendly and speaks excellent English, and is a pleasure to sit and talk with. Thank you for a lovely time, see you soon! - 22/07/2014

Ottimo hotel. Un po' meno il mare di Agia Galini I proprietari estremamente gentili e ospitali ci hanno trattato benissimo. La stanza sempre pulitissima.
Colazione eccellente con dolci fatti in casa appena sfornati. Posizione buonissima per Festo. Buona per Matala.

Exceptional Het heerlijke ontbijt elke morgen met steeds wisselende, zelfgebakken lekkernijen erbij. Geserveerd in hun mooie tuin met de reusachtige bougainville.

Perfektes kleines familiär geführtes Hotel, gute Lage zum Erkunden der Umgebung 😀 - Das Frühstück war umwerfend! Die Wirtsfamilie, die auch selbst im Hotel wohnt, bereitet jeden Morgen andere lokale Spezialitäten vor, viel aus eigenem Anbei. Das (zu recht) vielgelobte Frühstück im kleinen, aber sehr hübschen Garten ist ein echtes Highlight! Die Sauberkeit ist ebenfalls erwähnenswert, die Betten sind modern und sehr bequem. Das wlan ist überall von sehr guter Qualität (erlebt man oft anders). Ein paar Parkplätze sind direkt vor dem Haus, weitere nicht weit entfernt. (kostenfrei). 😞 - None - 14/06/2023 

Nettes kleines Hotel mit tollem Frühstück Alles war sehr gut. Nettes Zimmer, sehr sauber mit Kühlschrank.
Tolles Frühstück, alles von der Wirtin selbst gebacken. Jeden Morgen

Séjour simple et agréable - La gentillesse des hôtes
- À deux minutes à pied du petit centre ville et des restaurants
- Bonne situation géographique si vous souhaitez rayonner vers Matala
- La salle de bain refaite au goût du jour bien que très petite
- Le petit déjeuner fait maison sur la terrasse de l’établissement, sous les bougainvilliers
- Nous avons eu le choix entre deux chambres car la chambre initialement demandée (vue sur mer) n’était plus disponible. D’ailleurs, vue sur mer uniquement au dernier étage...!
- Stationner dans la rue n’est pas évident
- La chambre mérite un petit coup de neuf !
- Nous n’avions jamais vu une télévision aussi petite et cela nous a beaucoup fait rire! Nous ne la regardons pas le soir mais si vous aimez vous coucher et regarder la télévision avant de dormir, passez votre chemin 🙂

Liebevoll gemachte Unterkunft 😀 - Sehr liebevoll gestaltete Unterkunft mit sehr hilfsbereiten Inhabern, die uns tolle Tipps für die Umgebung gaben. Jeden Morgen gab es ein liebevoll zubereitetes, reichhaltiges Frühstück im Garten. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Lage war auch gut, um Ausflüge in der Gegend zu machen. 😞 - Nichts, wir waren rundum zufrieden. 🙂 - 27/08/2023 

Exceptional Ein gemütliches liebevoll geführtes Hotel von den Besitzern Asimina + Dimitri. Es wird jeden Morgen ein vielfältiges Frühstück serviert, unteranderem mit selbstgebackenen griechischen Spetzialitäten von Asimina. Hier wird man in jeder Hinsicht verwöhnt! Wir kamen als Fremde und gingen als Freunde. Vielen herzlichen Dank für Alles und bis zum nächsten Jahr!

A good welcome followed up by a happy stay. The hotel is conveniently sited, old and extended village easily accessible, parking not difficult, biggish breakfast - kitchen not seen but cooked O.K. for unusually generous breakfast, nice room with balcony that got afternoon shade, decent plumbing not needing lavatory paper to be deposited in a bin. It does only breakfast, but there is a choice of tavernas within easy striking distance during the season.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr entspannt. Wir können das Idi sehr weiterempfehlen. Die Lage ist super, kurzer Weg zum Strand, nahe gelegener Supermarkt, gute Parkmöglichkeit direkt am Haus oder in der Seitenstraße. Das Frühstück ist sensationell. Alles frisch von der Hausherrin gebacken, immer frisches Obst, Käse aus eigener Herstellung. Jeden Tag gab es etwas anderes Leckeres. Die Gastgeber sind sehr kommunikativ und geben wertvolle Tipps.

Great experiance - Nice little hotel We stayed for 10 nights at IDI Hotel and are overall happy with what we experianced. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony towards the road and sea. Great view, as the street - even the main street down to the harbor is not to busy in the night - but we enjoyed a good look on the blue sea.
The rooms are small, but well renovated and of good standard. All day cleaning was provided by the family who runs this place.
The breakfast is like many others mentioned allready on this platform - simply good and great. It is served freshly in the small garden and has every day one different local speciality served, beside bread with butter, honey and marmelade, cake, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice and coffee. Lovely and good.
Very close to the hotel is a small super market, that makes live more conveniance there by having some drinks available.
Downhill in 10 walking minutes is the beach with good options for a sun bed and swim. Same time is needed to walk downhill reaching all the taverna's and restaurants with great local food. Our favourite Taverna was the PANTHEON with a roof top terrace and a phantastic view to the harbor.
The free wifi is working well and a mini TV (we not use it) is installed. The remote control of the A/C was not working, but we did not complained as we did not use the A/C as well during our stay - just let the balcony doors open.
If you do not matter the stairs up (no elevator) and ask for a room at the 3th floor we beleive the sea view would be fantastic.
The IDI hotel is a family runed hotel with great host's.

Short stay but wish it had been longer. We stayed here at the start of a 2 week holiday for 2 nights,then for 3 nights at the end of our holiday.But when all was completed we really wished we had just stayed at the Idi for the full 2 weeks.Then hotel is small and the owners are so friendly,they really made us feel welcome could not have been better hosts.The breakfasts are so perfect not to heavy,no full Monty,s but enough to start your day and keep you going until lunch without feeling hungry.Jasmine and Dimitri's are charming people very calm and hospitable.The room we had was on the top floor with great views to the left and straight ahead overlooking the bay,we would recommend room 305 for us it was perfect, clean and very comfortable.We really enjoyed sitting in the garden area out of the full sun and just the right amount of shade to enjoy a coffee etc.Marks out of 10 has got to be 10++++. - 22/07/2016 

Empfehlenswertes, sympathisches Hotel in einem schönen Ferienort an der Südküste. Kleineres, schmuckes Hotel an guter, zentraler Lage. Trotzdem ruhig. Strand und Zentrum sind schnell erreichbar.
Schöner, kleiner Garten mit mediterranen Pflanzen. Frühstück im Freien. Jeden Tag gab es zum Frühstück etwas Hausgemachtes.
Freundlicher Empfang.
Wir bekamen ein Zimmer im 3. Stock mit einem kleinen Balkon. Von dort hatte man eine wunderbare Meersicht.
Ansprechende, sympathische Zimmereinrichtung.

Een geweldige plaats om comfortabel te verblijven Het ontbijt was goed en gevarieerd. In tegenstelling tot veel Griekse ontbijten was het zeer goed. De eigenaresse en de eigenaar waren behulpzaam en zeer vriendelijk. Wij hadden een gevoel van thuiskomen in den vreemde. We voelden ons welkom. De faciliteiten waren meer dan voldoende.

''Οικογενειακό ξενοδοχείο με τέλειο πρωινό'' Όλα ήταν υπέρχοχα!Το περιβάλλον όμορφο και οικογενειακό.Ένα πολύ καλό ξενοδοχείο, καθαρό, ήσυχο και ιδανικό για ξεκούραση. Το δε προσωπικό πολύ φιλικό και πρόθυμο να εξυπηρετήσει.Εκείνο όμως που πραγματικά δεν έχουμε ξανασυναντήσει είναι η μεγάλη ποικιλία του πρωινού που καθημερινά αποτελούνταν από νόστιμες ,παραδοσιακές κρητικές λιχουδιές.Η παραλία είναι μόλις 5 λεπτά με τα πόδια .
