Our Breakfast

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. It provides many health benefits and a good feeling for the rest of the day. A rich breakfast helps the body function at its best, physically and mentally, enabling people to meet the demands of everyday activities.

In Hotel IDI you will taste each day a different combination of excellent treats, sweet and salty, all handmade by Asimina with pure, biological ingredients. Most of them from our farm – garden.

Breakfast is served daily, in the front yard next to the sunny garden, from 8am to 10am.

			Wir haben unseren Sommerurlaub in diesem schönen (Familien geführten) Hotel in den Bergen Kretas verbracht, welches oberhalb des Dorfes Zaros liegt.Die Unterbringung erfolgte in einem sauberen, schönen, wenn auch etwas kleinem, modernisiertem Zimmer im Haupthaus.Die Reinigung erfolgte täglich.Wirklich gutes Frühstück, u. a. mit (selbst hergestellten!) Marmeladen, diversen süßen Teilchen, Kuchen, Obstslat,aber auch herzhaften Sachen wie z. Bsp. Rühr- oder Spiegelei, oder sogar Fetakäse. Da sollte, glaube ich, jeder fündig werden. Kaffee war ok, man konnte sich aber auch einen griechischen (ähnlich dem türkischen) Kaffee frisch zubereiten lassen.Es gab immer von allem genug zu essen, es wurde ständig aufgefüllt.Das gesamte Personal war freundlich bis sehr freundlich, auch im zum Hotel gehörenden IDI Restaurant. Man hat sich einfach willkommen gefühlt.Tipp: Wir haben uns über das Hotel, von der sehr freundlichen und enagierten Chefin, deren Namen ich leider vergessen habe, einen Mietwagen vermitteln lassen, der zum Hotel gebracht und auch dort wieder abgeholt wurde. Somit konnten wir an 6 Tagen die Insel erkunden, ein Muß auf Kreta.Empfehlenswert ist der Komos Strand kurz vor Matala, wie auch natürlich Matala selbst, nur nicht Tagsüber, da ist es einfach zu überlaufen. Besser gegen Abend hinfahren!Sehenswert ist auch der Wochenmarkt am Samstag Vormittag in Mires! Dafür wird extra die kleine Hauptstrasse gesperrt.Der Garten des Hotels mit dem dazugehörigen großen und schönen Pool war sehr gepflegt und ansprechend gestaltet.Zum "runterkommen" gibt es mehrere Hängematten, coole Idee.Alles in allem eine schöne kleine, überschaubare Anlage mit meist sehr entspannten Gästen.Das o. g. Restaurant ist absolut zu empfehlen, das Essen war top und für deutsche Verhältnisse dazu auch noch sehr preiswert.Dazu gab es noch Desserts (Kuchen, Eis, Obst) und Raki auf`s Haus. Da kann wirklich niemand meckern.Fussläufig, nur wenige hundert Meter vom Hotel Bergab,kann man das schöne Dorf Zaros erkunden, wo es diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt, oder auch noch die ein oder andere Taverne.Bergauf, ebenfalls wenige hundert Meter oberhalb lohnt ein Spaziergang zum sehr idyllischen gelegenen Votomos See!Insgesamt hatten wir einen wirklich wunderschönen und entspannten Urlaub auf Kreta. Und sehr wahrscheinlich war es nicht das letzte Mal.		 - 9/03/2023

			Zeer aangenaam verblijf 😀 - Ontvangst door de familie die eigenaar is van het hotel was hartelijk. Ontbijt was heerlijk en zelfgemaakt, in de voortuin van het hotel. Omdat ze 40 jaar waren getrouwd werden de gasten uitgenodigd voor een zelfgemaakt Grieks diner, waarbij de zoon wat liedjes op zijn luit speelde. 😞 - None		 - 8/07/2023

			Familiäres Hotel mit Wohlfühlfaktor  Es war super toll in diesem familiären Hotel, die Familie die das Hotel  führt, war immer sehr nett. Das Frühstück war super jeden Tag ein bisschen anders, mit Pfannkuchen pikanten Törtchen frisches im eigenen Garten geernteten Obst usw. . Die Zimmer werden jeden Tag geputzt super sauber wo man hin sieht, toll gestrichen mit kleinen romantischen Details, kleines neu renoviertes Bad. Meer Blick atemberaubend. In 5 Minuten ist man am Strand oder im Centrum des kleinen Ortes mit Hafen und sehr vielen Restaurants.

			A great Greek gem, friendly, kind and great value This a true Greek great find.

So clean, with a lovely breakfast of fruit, bread, and a local omelette or pie or pancake.

All the family are very friendly and helpful. The rooms so clean. And unlike many Greek buildings, all areas of the hotel are beautifully kept and maintained.

The hotel is located just above the Main Streets, a little climb up but worth it with car parking in front the hotel, or street.

Its soooo not a sterile corporate hotel, it's great!

			Всё уютно, чисто, по-домашнему  Семейная гостиница, всё просто, но очень чисто. Имеется всё необходимое современное оборудование - отдельная ванная комната, туалет, кондиционер, холодильник, wifi, телевизор, баллончик со столом и стульями, где можно вечером посидеть и посмотреть на вечернюю жизнь. Отличное расположение на тихой улице. Завтраки домашние. Недалеко от пляжей и таверн, а также от культурного и торгового центра поселка. Если заказать частного водителя через хозяев отеля, то он обойдётся примерно в 2 раза дешевле, чем такси.
 Стоянка отеля очень невелика, только на 3 машины. Часто приходится искать место для парковки арендованной машины. Хозяева отеля предлагают свою помощь в поисках, но не будешь же их будить среди ночи. Но с этим недостатком мы легко примирились, потому что всё остальное отлично.		 - 8/20/2019

			Très bel hôtel au grand calme dans un magnifique environnement.Belle piscine dans un jardin très bien entretenu et très fleuri.Les chambres sont modernes avec balcon. Propreté irréprochable.Les petits déjeuners sous forme de buffet sont très variés et bien adaptés si vous devez partir randonner ensuite.Excellent Restaurant du même nom associé à 30 m avec de très bons produits et un personnel au top		 - 10/03/2023

			Wat een fantastisch hotel. Van onze vijftien daagse rondreis door Kreta (gezin van vijf met kinderen in de leeftijd van 18, 15 en 12 jaar) was dit met afstand het goedkoopst en tegelijkertijd beste hotel.Prachtige ligging met mooie tuin. Genoeg ligbedden met veel schaduwplekken onder de prachtige bomen. De hangmatten tussen de olijfbomen zijn top! Heerlijk en schoon zwembad. Goed ontbijt. Fijne sfeer. Goede service. Fraaie kamers (wij hadden met ons gezin de recent gerenoveerde kamers). Alles brandschoon. Overal goede wifi (handig omdat je telefoon tegenwoordig een belangrijk hulpmiddel is voor het plannen van trips en het vinden van restaurants).Ik zou deze plek aan iedereen aanraden!Enige nadeel is dat je wat hoger op de berg zit en je voor plaatsen als Matala en Agia Galini 50 minuten onderweg bent. Voordeel is dan weer dat je op loopafstand van de Rouvas kloof zit (als je deze in gaat via het vlakbij gelegen Votomos meer).In één woord: top!		 - 9/03/2023

			Exceptional  Tolles Zimmer mit Meerblick,  super nettes Ehepaar,  das die Pension sehr liebevoll und mit viel Herzblut und Fleiß führt. Jeden Morgen ein wunderbares Frühstück mit Obst und selbst frisch Gebackenem, Zimmer sehr sauber,  Gerne kommen wir wieder.

			immer wieder  Das kleine Hotel liegt an der Hauptstraße zum Hafen hin und verfügt über 15 Zimmer, wovon 6 nach vorne zur Straße mit Blick auf das Meer gelegen sind. Die Zimmer sind praktisch ausgestattet und verfügen über alles was benötigt wird. Auf dem kleinen Balkon kann man den Abend bei Getränken ausklingen lassen. Das die Ortschaft am Fuß der Berge liegt und man so zum Wasser/Tavernen/Shoppen usw.  Treppen und teilweise steile Straßen benutzen muss, dürfte nach einem Blick auf die Karte klar sein. Das Beste kam jeden morgen mit dem Frühstück auf der Terrasse: selbst gebackenes Brot, Kuchen und andere Naschereien, nebst Obst, leckerem Kaffee und  frischem O-Saft. Jasmina und Dimitrios  haben alle Wünsche erfüllt und gute Tipps gegeben. Parkplätze waren direkt vor dem Haus oder in direkter Umgebung vorhanden. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt ist ein Wagen empfehlenswert.
 Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war die recht laute Klimaanlage; man hatte die Wahl: Klimaanlage und kühl oder offener Balkon mit Straßengeräuschen und warm.		 - 9/21/2019

Another great week in Agia Galini

Fabulous breakfast

Breakfast was served at tables for two outside on the front patio and garden, which is beautiful and well kept. (larger tables are available inside). We were told with justifiable pride that most of the vegetables come from their own gardens, that a sweet and savory is served each day, and that there are 10 different meals.

This was the best relaxed vacation ever. We were 21 days at IDI HOTEL. This hotel is very nice with the kindest hosts. Home made breakfast every morning. You could smell fresh pasterie when going out of the room every morning.

Home from Home

Where to begin! We spent nine days at this delightful hotel. It sits at the top of Agia Galini within easy reach of all the facilities of the town …. The rooms are very comfortable with delightful small bathrooms, and the breakfast is quite amazing and offers different local delicacies each morning.
