Best hotel in Crete Hotel Idi is such a wonderful place to holiday and a fantastic base for the south coast. The hotel is immaculate with amazing gardens and a sense of calm. The staff are all super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are really comfortable and immaculate. They’re cleaned every day. The breakfast is plentiful with every option you can think of. The restaurant is also really impressive- a lot of variety. We’ve never had a bad meal (this is our third year) you get the opportunity to meet with tourists from many other countries. I really can’t recommend Idi enough. It’s great for a few weeks or a few days. We come with our 9 year old son who loves the pool and the freedom. If you’re looking for somewhere with beautiful scenery and away from the crowds, with a very chilled atmosphere - you will not be disappointed. It’s a real hidden gem! More - 25/08/2019

Great experiance - Nice little hotel We stayed for 10 nights at IDI Hotel and are overall happy with what we experianced. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony towards the road and sea. Great view, as the street - even the main street down to the harbor is not to busy in the night - but we enjoyed a good look on the blue sea.
The rooms are small, but well renovated and of good standard. All day cleaning was provided by the family who runs this place.
The breakfast is like many others mentioned allready on this platform - simply good and great. It is served freshly in the small garden and has every day one different local speciality served, beside bread with butter, honey and marmelade, cake, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice and coffee. Lovely and good.
Very close to the hotel is a small super market, that makes live more conveniance there by having some drinks available.
Downhill in 10 walking minutes is the beach with good options for a sun bed and swim. Same time is needed to walk downhill reaching all the taverna's and restaurants with great local food. Our favourite Taverna was the PANTHEON with a roof top terrace and a phantastic view to the harbor.
The free wifi is working well and a mini TV (we not use it) is installed. The remote control of the A/C was not working, but we did not complained as we did not use the A/C as well during our stay - just let the balcony doors open.
If you do not matter the stairs up (no elevator) and ask for a room at the 3th floor we beleive the sea view would be fantastic.
The IDI hotel is a family runed hotel with great host's.

Gemütliches Hotel mit herzlichen Besitzern - wir haben uns wohl gefühlt! Zum Frühstück wurden täglich 2 verschiedene hausgemachte griechische Spezialitäten serviert, ebenso frisches Obst, frisch gepresster Orangensaft und Kaffee.
Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Die Hotelbesitzerin und ihr Mann waren sehr freundlich und haben sich um das Wohl ihrer Gäste gekümmert.

Superb 😀 - Soggiorno piacevole in albergo a conduzione familiare, proprietari accoglienti e disponibili. Camere semplici, pulite, con balconcino su cui si arrampica una fantastica bouganville e vista mare.. Ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis mit herzlicher persönlicher Betreuung Die Lage des Hotels Idi günstig: von dort aus gelangt man schnell zum Strand und in den Ort. Man muss nur bereit sein, auf dem Rückweg zum Hotel bergauf zu gehen (vom Ort aus über Treppen). Wir hatten ein Zimmer nach hinten raus ("Dorfblick"; man schaut aber nicht aufs Dorf, sondern auf benachbarte Hotels). Dadurch war es sehr ruhig. Die ´Zimmer mit Meerblick gehen zur Hauptstrasse raus; dort fahren halt Autos und vor allem Roller und Mopeds. Aber kein Vergleich zu einer deutschen Hauptstrasse. Die Zimmer sind dieser Hotelkategorie entsprechend einfach, aber zweckmäßig ausgestattet, das Bad ist klein aber neuwertig. Alles im Hotel ist tip-top und sauber. Überrascht hat uns die vorzügliche Matratze; das ist in dieser Preisklasse keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Gleiches gilt für das umfang- und abwechslungsreiche Frühstück mit frischgepresstem Orangensaft, Waffeln, Kuchen, einem Obstteller und und - und alles von Asiminia selbst seviert auf der kleinen überdachten Terrasse vor dem Haus mit Blick in den kleinen Garten. Da kann man sich das Mittagessen erstmal sparen. Asiminia, ihr Mann und die erwachsenen Kinder sind stets hilfsbereit und sehr, sehr nett. Asiminia spricht gut englisch. Wir würden das Hotel Idi jederzeit wieder buchen.
Bei Sturm vom Landesinneren (im August häufiger) und geöffneter Balkontür (wir hassen Klimaanlagen!) zieht es duch die Zimmertür und die klappert dann so laut, dass man immer wieder wach wird. Auch das Dazwischenklemmen von Pappe hat nichts genutzt. - 01/09/2020

Rodinný hotel v Agia Galini 😀 - Skvělé snídaně, každý den jiné a servírované ve velmi pěkném a příjemném prostředí. Hotel Idi má jako jeden z mála domů v Agia Galini předzahrádku se stromy, každý pokoj má malou lodžii se stolkem a židlemi, kde je příjemné posezení. Jde o rodinný podnik a tomu odpovídá i absolutní čistota, péče a přátelský přístup majitelů. Na městskou pláž je to pěšky asi 5 minut (schodištěm mezi domy), do centra a přístavu asi 10 minut. Ve vedlejším domě je malý obchod, kde vaří i výbornou kávu. Další větší a lépe zásobený supermarket je vzdálený zhruba 50 m. V hotelu je k dispozici i společná kuchyňka s vařičem a varnou konvicí. Bezplatné parkování je možné v bezprostřední blízkosti hotelu. WiFi v pokoji funguje dobře, každé patro (5-6 pokojů) má vlastní SSID. 😞 - Dům je třípatrový bez výtahu, což může být pro osoby s omezenou pohyblivostí problém. Klimatizace v pokoji byla poměrně hlučná. - 21/09/2025

Exceptional Tolles Zimmer mit Meerblick, super nettes Ehepaar, das die Pension sehr liebevoll und mit viel Herzblut und Fleiß führt. Jeden Morgen ein wunderbares Frühstück mit Obst und selbst frisch Gebackenem, Zimmer sehr sauber, Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Exceptional Przepiękny widok na morze z 3 piętra z balkonem i kwitnącymi różowymi kwiatami (oleandry?). Czysto, przytulny pokój, dobrze wykończony (po remoncie), nieduża ale ładna łazienka. Lodówka, klimatyzacja. Dobre śniadania, chociaż na słodko i nieduże. Mili gospodarze, doradzali gdzie pojechać. Kot przy śniadaniu. Niedaleko do plaży (woda niestety nieprzejrzysta) i do portu, gdzie jest mnóstwo sklepów i knajpek.

Home from Home Where to begin! We spent nine days at this delightful hotel. It sits at the top of Agia Galini within easy reach of all the facilities of the town. But the steps are steep so regular stops to look at the excellent gift shops, or to sit with a coffee, or an ice cream, or possibly even a delicious cocktail are advisable!

The small hotel is run by Jasmine and Dimitri, and has been in the family since 1986. The rooms are very comfortable with delightful small bathrooms, and the breakfast is quite amazing and offers different local delicacies each morning - I am a coffee and toast person but my companion enjoyed every bite!

The beach can be reached on foot in ten minutes, offers a general store, eating places and lots of sun beds.

The owners offer a home from home and that is what we found - thank you very much Jasmine and Dimitri and thanks too to your charming son. - 04/07/2017

Πολύ ωραίο, ήσυχο και οικονομικό ξενοδοχείο! Στο ξενοδοχείο αυτό είχα πάει μαζί με το αγόρι μου το καλοκαίρι του '13. Η κριτική μου άργησε λίγο όμως το ξενοδόχείο αυτό ήταν τέλειο! Τα δωμάτια όπως και η υποδοχή είναι διακοσμημένα με ωραία και απλά έπιπλα, έχουν air-condition το οποίο είναι απαραίτητο για τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες και οι ιδιοκτήτες ήταν πολύ ευχάριστοι και φιλικοί. Το πρωινό κάθε μέρα ήταν και διαφορετικό και πάντα χορταστικό. Επίσης, ακριβώς μπροστά στο ξενοδοχείο είχε ένα μικρό parking που εξυπηρετεί όσους έχουν αυτοκίνητο και για αυτούς που δεν έχουν το ξενοδοχείο είναι κοντά σε όλα, εστιατόρια, παραλίες, κτλ. Τέλος, το δωμάτιο είχε πολύ ωραία θέα ότι πρέπει για να χαλαρώνεις τα βράδια στο μπαλκονάκι. Ο συνδυασμός τιμής και ποιότητας ήταν άριστος! - 27/05/2014 

Liebevoll gemachte Unterkunft 😀 - Sehr liebevoll gestaltete Unterkunft mit sehr hilfsbereiten Inhabern, die uns tolle Tipps für die Umgebung gaben. Jeden Morgen gab es ein liebevoll zubereitetes, reichhaltiges Frühstück im Garten. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Fantastisch Mevrouw maakt van ieder ontbijt een feestje. Ze kwam elke ochtend met iets anders en genoot zichtbaar van de complimenten hierover. Hele goede bedden! Erg schoon. We gaan er zeker nog eens heen.
Niets aan te merken. Tja er is geen lift maar geheel Agia Galini bestaat uit trappen dus is het voor een minder valide sowieso geen handige locatie. - 07/08/2018
